Keepass is a wallet program for storing your sensitive passwords. You can do this in 2 ways. One is to put a strong password and protect your keepass database or use a strong password and a key that you create when setting up a keepass database that can be stored on a pen drive or external storage. The latter offers better protection. Whenever you try to open the keepass database, you will be prompted to provide the password and a key file location, if you have created the database with the key file.
Keepass does not hold memory content for a long time while it is running.
