How to make Exported PDF editable in LibreOffice

LibreOffice enables a very useful feature to Export PDF files from the File -> Export as PDF… menu option. LibreOffice is a cross-platform, open source and free Office Suite available for use on Windows, Linux and more.

When you select that option, it shows a dialog where you need to select the pages to export, etc. Alongside those options, you also have an option under General that reads “Embed OpenDocument file Makes this PDF easily editable in LibreOffice”. If you check / tick that option, the resulting exported PDF file will also contain a the ODF file to allow you to edit the PDF in LibreOffice.

This feature is very good for those who want to share PDFs but also want to give option to edit the file or mark it up. Export the file back to PDF with the same checkbox checked/ticked and you get a PDF again with the same feature.
