Good, simple BASIC language interpreter for schools in Linux

You can install basic256 if you require a good free Basic Language Interpreter that works on Linux. You do not need Quick Basic or the Microsoft Operating Systems to set this up. If you use Ubuntu, just type:

$ apt-get install basic256 <enter>

in a terminal window, to install it. You can also try the QBasic for Linux.
