Connect the HDMI cable – one end to PC and one end to laptop. Then switch on TV and select the Video Input as HDMIx where x is the HDMI port you have connected your laptop or computer to the TV.
Select Settings Manager -> Display and you will see HDMI as one of the options. Select it, and your laptop display appears on the TV. However, this does not output audio from the TV.
To output audio from TV, you need to select Sound from your task bar (indicator), Sound Settings -> Configuration and choose Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output from the drop down to change the audio output to HDMI.
