How to remove linkedin android app imported contacts from linkedin site

Linkedin is a very good tool for networking. It can be used by logging into Linkedin or you can also use their mobile app for Android.

When I installed the Android app, the first thing it likes to do is to grab all my Android phone address book contact list and dump it to the linkedin.com web site. Unfortunately, if you are not alert, you could push your contact list to linkedin.com. Although, the contact list does remain visible only to you on linkedin.com, it can lead to embarrassing situations, where you may actually send an invitation to anyone of those contacts, when you do not want to.

Now, if you want to remove those import phone contacts from linkedin.com, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Login to your linkedin.com account from your computer. Upon login look at the top of left of your browser display. You will find an icon with people and a plus sign (Connections). Click on it.
  2. Next again on the top left, you will find “Manage Imported Contacts” link. Click it.
  3. It shows you the list of “Imported Contacts”. These entries came from your phone’s address book. Click on Select All to delete all of them.
  4. Lastly, now click on “Delete select contacts” button.

All gone. Now you are okay.
