How to play DVDs on Ubuntu Linux computer

If you want to play Movie DVDs on Linux, then the earlier method of will not work anymore on Ubuntu. To start playing movie DVDs, do the following.

$ sudo apt-get install libdvdnav4 libdvdread4 gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly libdvd-pkg <enter>

Once you are done installing above package, the DVDs can be played flawlessly using VLC.
