Simple, just use alcohol (brandy) to remove sticky dirt, dust on the surface of a DVD or a CD. It works wonders and removes it in one go. Dip a piece of cotton in brandy and wipe the disc surface inward to outward and not in a circular motion.
Managed to salvage a 15 years old CD using above method.
