If you need to find out the permissions and trackers that are required or in use by an Android application, visit, https://reports.exodus-privacy.eu.org/en/.
Here, you can enter the application URL of any application from any app store and can see the results of the permissions the applications require and the trackers they use.
As an example, this Calculator app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bng.calc uses no permissions and also does not have any trackers. More or less, it would meet the requirements of the exact functionality a calculator app must perform i.e. calculations.
On the other hand, the other example is this PacMan app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.namcobandaigames.pacmantournaments. You will notice that it has 5 trackers (deltaDNA, Google AdMob, Google Firebase Analytics, IAB Open Mesuarement and Unity3d Ads). It also requires permissions (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE, INTERNET, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, VIBRATE, BILLING, RECEIVE).
Some permissions may be beyond the functionality of apps and Exodus indicates just that for you to decide if you want to install the app or have a better choice to protect your privacy.
